Is former FBI Director James Comey running for president? You'd think so with the plans the GOP has to attack his credibility.
But, no, Comey isn't running for office.
He is however about to publish a book that has Trump and the terrorist group known as the GOP nervous.
They're so nervous they have a full-fledged plan to attack Comey's credibility, starting with a website: Lyin' Comey.
How cute, the GOP and Trump are behaving like first graders who don't get their way and are calling everybody they don't like nasty names.
CNN received the documents outlining the GOP plan, which includes:
- Website
- Digital advertising
- Talking points to be distributed to Republicans across the country in anticipation of Comey's book release next week
Yes, the Democrats believe Comey acted irresponsibly when he wrote a letter to Congress on Oct. 28, 2016, just days before the election, regarding re-opening the investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails.
Sure, that didn't sit well with Democrats.
Donald Trump didn't agree with them since he applauded Comey's actions...at the time"
Once elected, Trump felt differently about Comey, but that probably had something to do with that pesky investigation into Trump's possible ties to Russia and other corruption.
Trump then fired Comey, using Comey's actions in October as the excuse.
So, if you're keeping score, Trump applauded Comey's actions then used those actions to fire him in an effort to thwart the investigation that could 'Lock Trump Up!'
Democrats can be outraged over what Comey did in October and at the same time cry foul that Trump fired him.
The appearance of that termination is what's at issue here.
Was Comey fired because of his actions in October? If so, why wasn't he fired sooner? Why was he fired five months after Trump's inauguration?
Trump had a plan to eliminate ISIS in 30 days. Why did it take five months to eliminate a bad actor in his own administration?
Trump spent all kinds of time tweeting about his enemies. Why didn't he spend that time evaluating Comey?
Again, it comes down to the appearance that Trump fired Comey to hinder the FBI's investigation, and that's what has Democrats seething.

Now, you have the GOP trying to discredit Comey. Why? He was fired.
He's not running for office.
Is it because of what he knows and the GOP wants to protect its power vacuum?
