I really hope the Republicans follow through with their promises and repeal the Affordable Care Act.
After reading this information from the Washington Post, I'm really eager for the Republicans to follow through on their promise to repeal the Affordable Care Act, known by Trumpians as "Obamacare."
Here's why:
"The Gallup data, analyzed with the county typology from the American Communities Project, show that eight county types have seen increases in health insurance coverage greater than the national average. Six of those types — representing about 77 million people or 33 million votes, a quarter of the total cast — sided with Mr. Trump, some by very large margins."Yes, you read that right: one quarter of all the votes cast came from areas which have benefited from the Affordable Care Act.
Those idiots just voted against their own interests.
They did it because they feel they deserve their affordable health care. The others are somehow cheating the system.
It's the same with several other issues as well. The Rust Belt whites dominate welfare. Again, they deserve it. The others are cheating the system.
Republicans have gutted public school funding, especially here in Ohio, in favor of "School Choice," whatever the hell that means. We've always had the choice of where to send our kids for school.
What Republicans want is to privatize education. If there's money to be had, they want their share.
Ohio governor John "Crooked" Kasich has ties to charter school business owners. What do you think was his incentive to change the way schools are funded here in the Buckeye state?
Go ahead Republicans, follow through on your promises. Gut the ACA. Cut welfare. Privatize schools.
That's the only way these people are going to understand that they're voting against the middle class.
The middle class was its strongest when public schools were thriving. Think back 30 and 40 years, there were no pay to participate fees because levies passed or weren't needed.
Schools offered shop and multiple foreign languages and many other "elective" courses that helped our children to a well-rounded education.
That isn't the case today.
One local community saw its levy fail for the second straight time last month. There is talk of a $1000 per sport pay to participate fee. Yet, that community overwhelmingly voted Republican. Do they not understand that Kasich, the REPUBLICAN governor, slashed not only the state funding for public schools but also took hundreds of thousands of dollars out of the community to balance his own budget in his run for the presidency?
You people voted for that. You also voted to lose your healthcare.
I'm all in now. Go Republicans, Go!
